Kais spa and cinema house, big, central and modern

We are a family with two kids and it was our second time in Kai‘s place. We would come back a third time for sure. The place was amazing. We loved the sauna and the kids enjoyed the home cinema. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked nearly all our meals there. Everything was clean and prepared for us when we arrived. The proximity to the next supermarket is very practical. Kai was very friendly and always responded to my questions. It was the perfect place to spend our holiday in Tromsø (again). Thank you Kai for everything.

Kai is a wonderful host and has a beautiful and well-appointed home. It felt like staying at a luxury hotel once inside, and the blackout curtains helped with getting a good night’s rest after a day of adventures. My group and I would happily stay at his place again should we find ourselves in Tromso!

Our group of 7 had a wonderful stay. Everything was as described (or better!) and Kai was a great host when we had quick questions. Highly recommended!

Kai‘s house is absolutely stunning. The location is perfect and a large supermarket is within walking distance. The house is exactly as shown on the pictures. We especially enjoyed the home cinema and the sauna. I really want to point out that the kitchen was perfectly clean and also very well equiped. We felt at home from the beginning. Communication with Kai was easy, super friendly and fast. We would stay there anytime and hope to return next year. We stayed for one week with two kids and it was amazing.

A lovely home within easy walking distance to the town centre. Very clean home with all the mod cons. The living area is spacious and warm, beds very comfortable and clean. Local supermarket just over the road and the town centre is a easy 15-20 min walk. Kia was very accommodating and answered all of our enquiries immigrated. The neighbours are all very kind and helpful and watching the kids and their dad digging into the snow mounds was brilliant, especially whilst sitting in a very warm home. I would highly recommend Kai’s home to stay at.

Kai's place was perfect for our trip. it was close to a grocery store, the bus stop and was also an easy walk to the city center. The movie room, sauna and jacuzzi tub were all wonderful additional amenities. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

Kai owns a beautiful house in Tromsø. There are so many positive aspect about the house, so it's hard to mention them all. In general it's quite near to the city centre und to many shopping locations which makes it easy to go on foot. Also the view is quite remarkable. Inside you will find everything you could wish for. And like in many homes in Norway you find a sauna and nicely designed bathroom. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for having us Kai.

We loved this place - super bright, clean and had lots of space. The sauna was great and a real treat after cold days. On the main bus route with the stop just across the road and handy for the Eurospar nearby. Kai was really helpful and responsive. Sad to leave

Das Haus entsprach voll Unseren Erwartungen. Da wir leider Wetterpech hatten, war es toll, dass wir viel Platz hatten, und auch die Sauna und Technik im Haus war cool. Perfekte Küche, haben sehr viel gekocht 😉 Das Haus ist modern eingerichtet, ein bisschen hellhörig zu den Nachbarn, war aber zumindest für uns kein Problem, und denke dass auch wir uns gut benommen haben 😊 In Summe absolut zu empfehlen, hatten nichts auszusetzen und würden wieder dort wohnen…👍🏻

we had a wonderful time at Kai’s for the midnight Sun Marathon! Easy to get to with his instructions, great place and extremely easy to get downtown, very walkable!

We enjoyed a week-long stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return. The location is excellent with the city center in walking distance and a supermarket just across the road. the home is very well appointed and has an excellent view out the top floor windows, exactly as described.

Fantastisk fin leilighet med gangavstand til busspass og butikker. Tar kun 5 min med buss eller 15-20 min å gå inn til sentrum. Kai Ruben er vennlig, snill og hjelpsom. Anbefaler han og huset hans på det sterkeste 😁

Vi havde en super fin uge i juli sammen med vores tre voksne børn. Let at komme til og fra huset uafhængig af at alle skal gøre det samtidig. 4 velfungerende soveværelser, spa/sauna var også lækkert. Biografen brugte vi ikke. Vi kunne gå ned og bade i det friske hav på 5 min og indkøb og bus var bare nogle minutter væk. Kan på det varmeste anbefales til 6 personer. Tak for flexibilitet med ankomsttider😊

Het is een heel fijn huis. Erg veel licht en met mooie materialen aangekleed. Ook erg goed gelegen: dicht bij de stad en aan de overkant van de straat een grote supermarkt die van 7u tot 23u open is. Het enige min puntje is de isolatie met de buren. In het appartement naast ons zaten net die week studenten die nogal luidruchtig waren en de isolatie tussen de huizen is niet ideaal. Maar ik vrees dat dit in heel Noorwegen is met de houten huizen. Maar verder een prachtige plek om te genieten van de stad en de natuur die Tromso te bieden heeft.

非常好的房间，舒适，温暖。我们在这里自己做了晚餐。位置也很便利，方便停车。但唯一的问题就是热水不太多，只有300L（在地下一层的一个大罐子里）不够3-4人非常舒服的洗澡，你必须洗澡非常快速。尽管房东在入住手册里已经告知。但这依然是唯一的不舒适的点。 不过它依然是很棒的房子。

The house is perfect! Very well located (we only used bus to go to downtown everyday) and the bus stop is 200 m from the entrance. It is easy to find (just use the number 16 instead of 18 as Kai recommended). The house is very nice, we did not use the sauna but it is very beautiful. My daughter loved the cinema! As we went to a lot of nice restaurants in the town, we did not cook that much with exception of the breakfast but the kitchen is very well equipped and appliances are very good. It has all you need! There is a big supermarket just close by (walking distance). I would highly recommend to stay in this house!

this was a very stylish place with plenty of space and amenities. was as described from the listing.  Pros -walking distance to grocery store -host very responsive -sauna and shower downstairs worth it and hot water and pressure very good -clean Cons/opportunities -host asked to move over linens to dryer as well as shovel walkway. (I'm on vacation, I'm not doing maintenance on the property). Also I personally would never ask my guests to move laundry over, especially if they're already getting charged a separate cleaning fee. -dryer does take a long time to dry and even then does not completely dry (this may be all of norway and not just this host but something to be aware) -asked for 5 star review (i dont do this when hosting) -stove shut off in middle of cooking overall I'd stay again and good value and nice and responsive host.

So Kai's place is even better in person than his picture's suggest. Great facilities - full kitchen. Well equipped. Lots of room. Great washrooms. Excellent Location - About a 5-10 min drive to City Centre. A Parking spot for our rental car. Kai was so helpful with our itinerary. He gave us his number and was very responsive when we needed help. Truly an excellent host. Our first inquiry to stay should we return.

Great accomodation. Spacious and plenty of room. Supermarket nearby. Bus station close by which allows for easy transport into the city .

Our time at the accommodation was really great! Everything was clean, beautifully decorated and as described. The communication was flawless and our questions were answered quickly. The explanations about the accommodation were easy to understand and we felt very comfortable. We would rent the accommodation again at any time and have already recommended it to our friends :)

Kai and his place were fantastic all around! great location, new and clean house, amazing amenities (beautiful modern appliances, furniture, and rooms). Ons verblijf in Tromsø was heel erg fijn, niet in de laatste plaats door het erg mooie huis van Kai. Alles was aanwezig, erg ruim, goed schoon gemaakt, heerlijk warm. De sauna was heerlijk en werkte goed! Je loopt binnen 20 minuten in hartje stad en er is zoveel te doen. Het huis ligt in een rustige buurt, wat wij als erg fijn hebben ervaren. Een grote supermarkt is heel dichtbij. Al met al: een heerlijk huis op een heerlijke plek.

Die perfekte Unterkunft! Positive: Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet, total komfortabel und absolut sauber. Wir haben uns direkt willkommen gefühlt und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es war alles wunderbar und auch der Inhaber ist super nett, vor allem bei Fragen immer schnell verfügbar. Wenn wir noch mal nach Tromsø reisen, werden wir ohne Frage ganz sicher wieder diese Unterkunft buchen.

Great place for a family holiday. Positive: The townhouse was clean, spacious, nicely furnished and close to a good grocery store. We loved the movie room, spa and jacuzzi. It is an easy walk to central Tromso.

Really nice house, very spacious and well done. Positive: The house was very well done, super neat & organised. So many custom touches, the host had left such an infomative manual explaining everything about his home and why it is so special, also had all the infomation needed regarding the house. Location was good too, about 5-7mins from city center. Loved everything about the stay. Negative: The one things which would be helpful to have a heads up about is that the washrooms are only in the basement and 1st floor. The main ground floor which has 2 rooms has no washroom, so we would always have to take a flight of stairs to use to the washroom which is a bit inconvenient specially in the middle of the night.
